The Journey Thus Far

While the company has undergone some changes since we opened our doors in 1975, our values have remained constant.

We will continue to place importance on our stakeholders and customers as well as the people we work with, and strive for excellence in all our endeavours.

  1. Tan Sri Dato’ Hj M Ariffin Yusuf and three employees, built and developed PRIMABUMI from ground up
  2. Set up PRIMABUMI’s first office at SS2/24 Petaling Jaya
  3. Alam Medik Sdn Bhd was set up to accommodate expansion into supply of medical devices
  4. Diversified into property development and real estate investments.

    Prima Point Sdn Bhd and other subsidiary companies were formed to undertake commercial, residential and industrial projects, mostly in the Klang Valley

    Shifted to SS2/66 Petaling Jaya - the first shop office owned by the Company
  5. Developed PRIMABUMI’s own 13-storey office building in Jalan Dungun, Damansara Heights, KL

    The building was sold and renamed Wisma MBSB
  6. Ariffin was conferred the Darjah Paduka Tuanku Ja’afar by the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Ja’afar Ibni Al-Marhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman which carried the title Dato’
  7. PRIMABUMI established Pioneer Corp and developed its own factory to diversify into manufacturing diapers, the first in Malaysia to produce baby and adult diapers. We have since sold the business to Drypers USA although we continue to be the landlord
  8. Another subsidiary went into a joint venture to produce baby care products such as bottles, teats, pacifiers and a comprehensive range of baby accessories 1998

    Developed and built the present Wisma Prima in Sri Semantan Satu, Damansara Heights, KL
  9. Ventured into manufacturing of baby care products and wet wipes under Far Go Industry Sdn Bhd.
  10. Set up the ICT Division
    Supplied educational teaching aid and accessories for the Ministry of Education’s “Teaching of Mathematics and Science in English” projec.
  11. Ariffin was conferred the Panglima Setia Mahkota (P.S.M.) by His Majesty the 13th Yang di Pertuan Agong, Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah which carries the title Tan Sri
  12. PRIMABUMI celebrates its 33rd Anniversary

    Operating with more than 60 employees in various fields
  13. Ventured into manufacturing of personal care products

    Ken Prima Cosmeceuticals Sdn Bhd was established

    The factory is based in Penang

    Ken Prima Cosmeceuticals Sdn Bhd is a global manufacturer for Private Labels in personal care products
  14. Acquired the sales rights of American brand, Nixoderm, for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei
  15. Primabumi continues to strive to be the preferred supplier of choice for the international and local pharmaceutical companies

    Prima Group continues with the ongoing diversified business as mentioned above
